How Our Calculators Work

Our cost estimates are built on three key factors:

• Base pricing data — We research current market rates for materials and labor across the United States.
• Material multipliers — Different materials have different costs. We apply accurate multipliers so you can compare options.
• Regional labor rates — Labor costs vary significantly by location. We adjust estimates based on your state and metro area.

What We Don't Do

• We don't make up fake statistics ("2 million estimates served!")
• We don't claim to have "verified contractors" we haven't actually vetted
• We don't pressure you with countdown timers or fake urgency
• We don't hide the ball on pricing or require sign-up to see estimates

Getting Accurate Quotes

Our calculators provide estimates for planning purposes. For accurate pricing, you should:
